SEO is a very important aspect of any blog or website, and luckily WordPress is an excellent platform to start off with SEO-wise. With these plugins you can really take your SEO efforts beyond the basics and achieve the rankings you dream of. But remember, the number one rule for good SEO is: CREATE EPIC CONTENT!
WordPress SEO
By using WordPress, you are already using a great system with regards to SEO, however to really take it to the next level in optimization, you need a plugin. And what better plugin can you get than the one created by the most recognised SEO guru in the WordPress world: Joost de Valk.
WordPress SEO has many essential features. WordPress SEO is a free plugin, but I also suggest getting Video SEO, a premium add-on which improves your visibility in search engine results pages. Check out our review of Video SEO to learn more about this plugin.

Of course there are also other aspects of SEO, such as rank tracking, link building and examining your competition. For that and more I use the SEO Powersuite tools, which are not a WordPress plugin but rather a software suite that can be downloaded on your system. They are really excellent and help me tremendously in my own SEO efforts.

We use the Yoast Video SEO plugin for ourselves and our clients and love it. It easy to set up and works better than expected.
Seems like Yoast cannot go wrong when it comes to SEO 🙂
I haven’t really tested SEOPressor for myself, but one thing that always turned me off from it is the fact that it places a link at the bottom of the site saying “optimized by SEOPressor” – or something to that effect. Is there an option to remove that link?
Yes I think there was one, would be quite ridiculous if there wasn’t.
