GoDaddy have just announced the launch of their new WordPress Managed Hosting service. The big news is that it comes at very affordable prices.
Will GoDaddy be able to compete with established players like WP Engine? What are your thoughts?

I never knew about the elephant killing. Now I do. I was considering trying the GoDaddy managed hosting. Now I’m not.
Just an observation.
The site with all the details for Godaddy’s WordPress hosting is not a WordPress site…….
Just sayin’
Personally, I also boycott GoDaddy for the same reasons. However I’m sure that there are thousands/millions out there who don’t know about the incident or even don’t care. Like it or not, this new offering will make waves.
Everyone reads WP Mayor, so now they all know 🙂
Looking at GD’s track record with hosting, I wouldn’t trust them.
I would rather go with something like WP Mule or a similiar service.
I concur with Darryl. I left and boycotted GoDaddy when I heard about the elephant thing. I was already thinking about leaving due to the massive amounts of what I call upsell spam they were sending, not to mention the horrible interface they use. The elephant thing was the last straw. I have my domains at Namecheap now and haven’t looked back.
Let’s all never forget that GoDaddy’s CEO Bob Parsons killed an elephant to prove that he’s a big man sports hunter. Please boycott GoDaddy.
