How to Create a Welcome Screen for Your Plugin

You might have noticed that when WordPress updates you will get a nice welcome screen highlighting the new features of the release. This same screen has also been employed by some plugins, such as WYSIJA and Easy Digital Downloads. I find it a great way to really make sure that users are aware of all the important features that have been introduced. This will lead to happier users and possibly fewer support requests.
