How To Add And Control Your First Website

Enter your email address and press the sign up button – that’s all! You instantly get logged into your new account and your login details are sent to your email. Press the link on the signup page (see picture) to download the CMS Commander plugin first and then press the “Your Sites” link, where we will add your first blog in a minute.

To install the CMS Commander plugin you just downloaded log into your WordPress admin area (one last time!) and go to “Plugins > Add New” as shown in the screenshot below. Press the “Upload” link (2.) and then the “Search” button to select the CMS Commander plugin file from your computer. Click install and be sure to activate the plugin afterwards with the link WordPress provides.

Now you are ready to add the website to your CMS Commander account on the “Your Sites” page. All you need to do is enter your websites address (1.), enter the name of your admin user account (2.) and press the “Add Site” button (3.). Your admin password is not needed! When done your blog will show up as the first entry in the list of sites to the right of the screen.

Now that your first site has been added it can be managed remotely with CMS Commander. Head to the “Dashboard” page from your accounts main navigation to update all your plugins and themes with one click, get an overview over recent comments and view uptime and traffic statistics (after setting them up on the Options page).
