Finally! A review that isn’t simply a “copy ‘n paste description” of Astoundify’s ThemeForest description. I own one (1) of their other themes and was wondering how Marketify shaped up.

This is such a helpful and thorough review, Joe. You answered a lot of my questions.

    Thank you! 🙂

I am also currently looking for a marketplace theme and came across one that is built on top of woocommerce which would allow to sell physical goods as well. Could you do a review of that theme as well? It’s available here: http://wedevs.com/themes/dokan/

Great review there, Joe. Just for everyone’s benefit who’s interested in the Marketify template, the physical product (with shipping) plugin is also already available for download (purchase)!

You can find out the details here.. https://easydigitaldownloads.com/extensions/simple-shipping/

I have a question if anyone could help. I’m trying to decide between two eCommerce plugins, Dokan that works with Woocommerce and Marketify that works with Easy Digital Downloads.

    These are my desired features:
    – Multi-Vendor Support
    – Designed for digital downloads
    – Has digital download protection for vendors and myself
    – Has the ability to re-download if already purchased by a customer
    – A filter or pending feature to restrict the type of products published by vendors
    – Automatic Commission support at transaction (percent based primarily)
    – Possible subscription support
    – Possible member based restrictions
    – Allows for purchases to be done by paypal, credit and debit.
    – Has a secure cart for protected and secure transactions

My question is which eCommerce plugin would be the best for these? Having support for physical products does not effect my decision whatsoever because my website won’t be or allow the selling of physical items. Can someone help me figure out which is the best or someone who has experience with either eCommerce plugin and can tell me why they like or dislike them. Also if there are any restrictions or features you wish it supported or had that maybe the other plugin would have. Thank you for any help.
