During the past week we’ve seen new versions of the popular CRED, Types and Views plugins released. These were highly anticipated releases and bring in a number of new features.

All three plugins can be purchased separately or bought together under the Toolset package.

The major new feature in Views 1.2.2 is a complete rewrite of the AJAX transition effects.

Now, when you create sliders with Views, everything just works a lot better. Your existing sliders in existing sites will become more responsive, transition faster and more fun for your visitors to use.

The optimized Javascript transitions between slides instantly. Slides run smoothly and settle with razor precision.

To make your work easier, they’ve improved the transition controls.

Instead of ‘fade’ and ‘fast fade’, you can control the transition speed, in milliseconds, for all the transition effects. You can also control how many slides Views preloads. This way, if you’re running a very fast server, you can load fewer items and if you want to ensure smooth transition on slower servers, you can preload more.

Types 1.3 comes packed with new features, improvements and bug fixes.

It lets you add fields to user profiles. You can use all Types fields, just like you add to posts, but for users.

Types 1.3 allows you to control, together with the Access plugin, who can edit and read different field groups. For example, if you’re creating a club site, you may way the club manager to be able to change member subscriptions, but each member should only see his subscription status.

Last, but not least, Types 1.3 lets you style fields in the WordPress admin. An integrated CSS editor adds styling for the field groups. They’ve also updated the HTML to make this styling more effective for you.

We’ve also got information that the Toolset Bootstrap theme is almost ready for release.

Some features of the Bootstrap theme:

  • Ability to design EVERYTHING on every page with Views
  • Syntax highlighter, as theme option, for every content type
  • Bootstrap layouts insert tool, letting you create complete layouts in one click
  • Integration with Toolset modules, so you can import modules from our library directly

CRED Commerce is great for sites that include user-submitted content that requires payment. You can now start charging payments with forms.

For example:

  • A classifieds ads site, where customers pay for ads
  • A membership site, where members pay to sign up
  • A contractor site, where clients pay when ordering work

CRED Commerce uses WooCommerce as the payments system. This way, you get a huge selection of payment gateways, reporting and e-commerce management.

CRED has also been updated, notably with the following:

  • Selection for when to send events
  • Multiple recipient for notifications, with full options
  • Warnings and confirmations

These new developments are really exciting, Toolset is really changing the game for WordPress users, allowing them to do much more than they previously did. Now you don’t need to be a genius coder to develop WordPress based websites that are more than a simple blog or brochure website. You can go all out with the power of Toolset!

Remember that you can get a $3o discount on Toolset by signing up through this link, since we had arranged an exclusive deal for all WP Mayor followers a few weeks back.
