Thanks for this review. I’m curious about the speed of this package compared to others such as Astra and OceanWP (both of which load very quickly).

Hey Glenn! I actually posted this comment previously thinking it was a reply to yours, but it didn’t show up as a response so here it is:

We save all content as HTML and pages are loaded straight from post_content without additional processing on non-admin page views. This means that the only extra weight that Offsprout adds to a page load is the CSS file and Javascript file that’s loaded. I encourage you to try out the free version and see for yourself.

We’re also running a deal for WP Mayor right now. WP Mayor has strict rules about posting URLs in comments, but if you go to our website then “/wp-mayor-deal/” you’ll find the 50% off deal we’re running.

That’s awesome. I’m going to get in on that! I like some of the architectural choices you have made and it sounds like load speed should be exceptional as well as things like plugin compatibility and compatibility with future WordPress updates.

Well…I spoke too soon. I thought this was an LTD but when I got to the pricing page, I realized it was annual. Given what Elegant Themes, Astra and OceanWP are doing, this is a tough sell for me, despite the fact that the product does look very good. This is more a reflection of me and my buying preferences I guess.

Hey Glenn, we have a 60-day money-back guarantee so you’re free to try it and you can see just how much time it’ll save you, risk free!

For example, if Offsprout saved you 5-10 hours for every website you built, would it be worth it?

I have tried it yesterday and today. It works great. I’m using Elementor and Beaver Builder. Atm that two offer much, much more. That being said I thing Offsprout Bundle is way too expensive. The Builder price isn’t so high but without a theme, it doesn’t show the real power. For example, Elementor has a Theme Builder and tons of modern and slick templates for modules, rows and full pages. All that included in the package, no additional costs. You can easily export all those templates and use them on another site. So using Site Grower may be convenient but it’s not that much faster if you know what you have to edit for the next client. If it would be $19 for the Bundle than it would be a real competitor and it would start selling like crazy. Site Builder market is really crowded atm and making something new and advanced is just not enough, especially if it is priced double than the best in the class. Atm Offsprout is like having a powerful and expensive Ferrari engine on three wheels.

Just a few more things. I’m trying to find out if Offsprout supports CPT, custom fields and taxonomies. Also, whatever I did I just couldn’t display names, captions or alt text for images. Not even sure if it is possible and easy to create an image column where caption text would be displayed above the image. Galleries have very limited functionalities as well. For example, it seems like it isn’t possible to set a square-crop style for the images/thumbs. I hope my comments won’t be taken to hard, I just really want to see this tool grow better (and CHEAPER). Cheers!

Hey Marko, I really appreciate the feedback! We’re adding title, captions, and alt to our image module in our next release. As for galleries, square image previews is definitely a good idea. Would you want any other display options added to galleries?

We are also adding ACF, Pods, and WooCommerce integrations in our next major release. And we’re constantly adding new templates.

As far as pricing, if there was an unlimited site license for $199/year or $19/month, would you buy it?

      Thanks!
