If you host any plugins or themes in the WordPress repository, you’re most probably offering user support through the forums also supplied by WordPress.org.
The problem is how to keep up with what’s happening in your forum. Do you check once a day, once a week, etc?
The simple solution is to use the support forum’s RSS feed to generate email notifications.
Here’s how to do it.
Step 1 – Get the RSS Feed
Go to your plugin or theme support forum, and get the RSS link as shown below.
Step 2 – Set up Email Notifications
Go toΒ Blogtrottr.comΒ and insert the RSS link there, together with your email address, and set the sending interval. You will then receive an email to confirm your subscription, and then start receiving notifications.
That’s it. All done! You will now receive notifications about new support requests in your forum.
If you enjoyed this post, make sure to subscribe to WP Mayor’s RSS feed.
