One of our products had been performing well for many years. Throughout that time, we experimented with various pricing changes. From dropping the price to switching pricing model, it has been through quite a few changes.
One of the easiest changes with the biggest return on investment was a simple pricing increase. Given the product’s value, customers had no problem paying a bit more. By the end of the year, it had resulted in a 4% increase in annual revenue from 5 minutes of work.
Another plugin of ours was growing well, but we knew it could do better. That’s when we worked on a new guided and visual on-boarding experience to show users what they could actually create with it, resulting in an increase in conversions from free to premium of 57%.
As a business in the ever-evolving WordPress ecosystem, it is important to reach as wide an audience as possible. By working with us, you can amplify your voice in the industry through a published product review at the end of our analysis phase.
Our team has the expertise and resources to help you broaden your reach by promoting your brand to a wider audience and effectively communicating your message.

It’s selling. The features seem good enough. The marketing is kind of there.
But something hasn’t clicked. It could be doing better and you know it.
User feedback isn’t enough. Friends and family are sugar-coating it.
You may think you know what needs to be done, but you’d like someone else to confirm your suspicions before you go all in on your next idea.
That’s why we’re launching an honest, unbiased, half-glass-empty kind of analysis.
We’re here to be the kind of customers that put up a wall between you and their wallet.
Having reviewed hundreds of products at WP Mayor, and also developed, marketed, and sold two successful WordPress plugins of our own, we’ve seen what it takes to build something great.
We’ve also gone down the wrong road without realizing it. Without having someone to give us this kind of guidance, that project failed, costing us time and money. We learnt more from this experience than any of the positives mentioned above.
So our goal now is to help you discover your missed opportunities and potential pitfalls.
Let us be your accountability partner.
How your customers find you, the onboarding experience, and how you continue to deliver and show value beyond the first point of contact.
*You will provide a 100% off coupon code for us to make the purchase from your website.
Goal: Refine the experience
Missed opportunities in your website content, pricing strategy, readme, and beyond, that could have a significant impact on your bottom line.
Goal: Increase conversions
Fine-tuning your design to make it transparent. Once someone starts using your product without asking questions, you’ve hit the spot.
Goal: Improve user retention
We will publish a full product review on our blog, sharing only the most relevant information for your potential customers.
You can find more information about this process on our Product Review page.
Each with different strengths, our team looks at your product from different perspectives and with multiple sets of eyes. This gives us a unique opportunity to delve deeper into what you’re offering, discuss our personal opinions, and come up with a better understanding of what’s needed.
Meet the people you’ll be working with…
He has been in the digital product space since 2014. Having worked in customer support, project management, UI/UX design, Mark is now the CEO of RebelCode, the team behind WP Mayor, Spotlight Instagram Feeds, and WP RSS Aggregator.
Mark is the one who tests a new update, and within a few minutes, notes down the missing pixel, a new feature idea for the future, or a new upsell opportunity that was previously missed.
As WP Mayor's Editorial Manager and a Support Specialist at Spotlight, Jessie is constantly researching products from every perspective. With plenty of experience in the WordPress space, she understands the market better than most.
Jessie is the one who sees what’s inside the box, what’s outside the box, and what should be packed up in a box and shipped to some island never to be seen again.
With a Masters in Architecture and a keen eye for design, Gaby took that experience into digital products and has been the mastermind behind the beautiful websites and UI designs for both WP Mayor and Spotlight Instagram Feeds.
Gaby is the one with great posture, because she understands that design is the body language of your marketing, and she doesn’t slouch.
Launched in June 2020, Spotlight is an Instagram gallery, shoppable feed, and link in bio solution currently used on 50,000+ websites, including major brands such as InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Severin, DeLonghi, HEAD, and many more.
Launched in 2014, WP RSS Aggregator is the most popular content curation and news aggregator solution for WordPress that currently powers 60,000+ websites from corporate intranets to national news organisations.
We will do our utmost to help you find new and missed opportunities to improve your product and grow your business.
We do not guarantee an increase in sales or revenue through our recommendations and any changes you make are entirely at your own risk.
Keep in mind that what works for others might not necessarily work for you, which is why constant testing and analysis are so important.
Trusted by 200+ business owners and marketing experts to deliver results that continues to pay dividends months and years into the future. Your growth is our priority.
After more than a decade of testing and reviewing WordPress products and services, as well as launching two successful products of our own, we noticed many businesses and products that were lacking in one area or another.
Whether it’s because the founder is a solo developer with no marketing experience or the team behind a product has simply run out of ideas or inspiration, consistently coming up with fresh ideas is not easy.
While building our own products, we had a few people guiding us along the way and pointing out potential opportunities and pitfalls. That guidance saves us years of experience and lessons learned, in turn saving us time and money.
That’s why we created the Opportunity Analysis to help others who might be in this situation.
We will deliver a no-holds-barred, honest, and direct analysis of your customer experience, marketing, and UI design based on our personal experiences as well as the lessons we’ve learned from hundreds of product businesses over the years, along with the appropriate recommended next steps.
You will then take that feedback and act on it to improve your business for months and years to come.
Absolutely. Please book a time here.
