Menus are sometimes one of those things which you may overlook when planning a website, thinking you won’t have any hassle to build, and then later it turns out that it’s indeed very time consuming to build what you had in mind within your WordPress site.
At that point you either settle for a simpler menu or scour the interwebs in search for tips and tricks to twist the WordPress menu system to function in the way you want it to. Of course, if you’re a coding legend you probably won’t have any problem, but for other mere mortals there is now a great solution: UberMenu 2.0.
UberMenu is a user-friendly, highly customizable responsive Mega Menu WordPress plugin. It works out of the box with the WordPress 3 Menu System, making it simple to get started but powerful enough to create highly customized and creative mega menu configurations.
Version 2 of this well-established menu builder gives you some really sexy features:
- Fully responsive
- Enhanced CSS
- Lighter weight, more efficient JavaScript
- iPhone & iPad compatible
- Full-width submenu option with ability to define the number of columns
I especially love the fact that it is now fully responsive, and so it’s one less headache when building a responsive site. The developer also updates the plugin quite frequently with new features, so it’s an ever-evolving plugin. I really suggest you give this plugin a try if you’re looking for a WordPress menu builder plugin.

Looks promising. Thanks.
Horizontal items are coded with span instead of links, thus aren’t focusable and the menu isn’t usable with a keyboard alone (as required per WCAG 2.0), alas.
Another accessibility related problem is with the text alternative on the logo on the left: alt=”sslogo_favicon” isn’t very meaningful. I hope that it can be changed to “Home”.
This is a really interesting menu plugin, a great addition to our toolset when building themes for clients.
I dont think so, this plugin have been outdated for a while. I haven’t seen importanted updates in the last year

Yes, agree, outdated plugin. I’ve been looking for a versatile, customizable WordPress menu plugin for a week .. you think there would be dozens out there, but the choices are surprisingly limited.

Not WCAG/AODO compliant, unfortunately.
