Nothing is more effective at capturing the fleeting attention of readers than engaging images. Bloggers do well to pepper their posts with strong imaging, and now there is a way to squeeze even more use out of these pictures.
A new plugin called the Image Wall displays the images of an entire WordPress site in random order on an infinitely scrollable page. This is a beautiful and effective way to offer a visual snapshot of what your site is all about.
But the Image Wall is not meant to be just beautiful to look at. Each image links back to the post or page on which it features. This makes it a brand new way to navigate a blog, via its images. The reader, captivated by the aesthetics of the Image Wall, scrolls along until one image so grabs the reader’s attention that he or she clicks it. Some old post, probably buried deep in your archives, just got another hit, thanks to the Image Wall.
This is a free plugin and you can find it at the official WordPress directory or by searching for it under the WP admin screen ‘Plugins -> New’. You can see a demo of the Image Wall here.
