Although the plugins are still in beta for a few more weeks, you can already grab a copy and start working with them. I’ve certainly been impressed by their capabilities, and look forward to upcoming features.

Here is the introduction to Types video:

And now take a look at Views:

Finally here is a case study where the user is building a real estate website:

Types is available to download any time from the WordPress plugin repository.

Views is only available to download from the WP-Types.com website and is priced at $49.

Support for both Types and Views is only provided through their technical forum.

After one year, renewal for support and upgrades costs $25.

What do you think about these two plugins? Will they change the WordPress landscape, and make things easier for you as users or developers?

Here are some sites which have already been built with the Types & Views plugin combo.

  1. Have used both of these now for a few sites… and I LOVE THEM. After a bit of a steep learning curve with the two of them (hint-hint: better documentation please – ie. dummy-proof), i was able to figure them both out… and they are awesome. Allow me so much control over how I create custom post types, what elements the client will be able to EASILY add via custom fields (also easily created) and finally how to display them all nicely… it’s so versatile, i can’t say enough good things about it. Paying for VIEWS makes the whole package worthwhile and you shouldn’t hesitate if you’re building sites on a regular basis.

…and NO i don’t work for them or receive any kickbacks, just a designer / dev who wishes he had this 6 months ago!
