Barn2

WP Mayor has been writing promotional articles about our plugins for over 4 years, and they always get excellent results.

I have done this on a large number of WordPress-related sites and I can honestly say that WP Mayor’s articles generate more sales than anywhere else.

I have found that it’s much more effective to have one article on WP Mayor than to have several articles on lower-profile sites that have fewer visitors.

This is because they already have excellent domain authority and a large audience of WordPress users, designers, and developers.

Kinsta

If you have a WordPress-focused product or service I strongly recommend the promotional solutions provided by WP Mayor.

In the past 5 years, we had a great and professional collaboration promoting our WordPress hosting services.

WP Mayor helped us to spread the word about Kinsta in a qualified and efficient manner.

We will definitely work with them again.

Our Ethics

At WP Mayor, we take pride in being vigilant in our research before we make recommendations. One of the most effective ways we assure the quality of our content is to conduct what we call "deep dive reviews".

Our experienced and trusted team has spent many years in the trenches of WordPress. Reviewers are selected based on their industry knowledge and their ability to articulate themselves clearly.

The goal is always to provide you with valuable feedback to improve your product or service while giving our readers the insight they need to make an informed decision for their next project.

Mark leads the WP Mayor team having been a part of the blog since 2014, writing over 140 articles. He is constantly looking for ways to improve WP Mayor’s offering, both for our partners and readers.

Gaby joined us in 2020 and has become an integral part of the team. She was the main driving force behind our rebranding project and has transformed our operations while also publishing over 60 articles of her own.

Jessie is our newest team member, joining in late 2022 and making an instant impact. She has used WordPress since its early days and is constantly on the lookout for new and intriguing ways that people are using it today.

Colin has been our most dedicated writer at WP Mayor having started with us in 2017. Throughout the years, he has published over 200 reviews and tutorials, but his goal remains to test all 60,000+ plugins on the repo.

D.J. entered the fray in 2022 and instantly become one of a trusted writer. They are consistently experimenting with various WordPress tools and have written 30+ well-researched articles in just a short amount of time.

Audience Insights

Builders, designers, developers, and marketers alike all rely on WP Mayor to provide clear and truthful answers to their questions, without any bias.

Most of our readers are based in the United States, India, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, and Canada, but our content reaches 200+ countries all around the globe.

Engagement

We are constantly working on improving engagement across our website with the goal of making our content more easily scannable as attention spans drop.

Our goal is to provide value as early as possible in every visitor's journey. In some cases, that could mean that an Average Time on Page of 5 to 10 minutes is needed for someone to read up on a topic.

In other cases, less than 2 minutes could be all someone needs to find exactly what they're looking for. It all depends on the subject matter.

Less frequently asked but equally important questions

Relationships are built on honesty and trust.

As available as we can humanly be. Whether it’s via email or a quick video call, our team will be available to answer any questions you might have along the way. We put ourselves front and center rather than hiding behind the brand, so you always know exactly who you’re working with.

It depends. This is the nature of SEO and we’re not going to sugarcoat it.

Everything we publish in our name is a reflection of us and our brand, so we want to have it perform as well as possible over time, but that “time” is an important factor.

Depending on your product or service, we will choose what keywords and niches to target with the content we produce. If we’re targeting a low-competition keyword, we expect to rank in the top 10 for it within a month or two given our domain and topical authority.

For more competitive keywords, that may take 6 to 12 months. During that time, we will continue to improve and optimize the content as the SEO world adapts and changes. We are always open to feedback in that period, so if you have any product updates or make considerable improvements, notifying us will help keep your content up-to-date.

In the majority of cases, we do not allow for tracking links to be used in our content. This is a decision we took a few years back for a few reasons.

With SEO being a long-term strategy, we had too many partners expecting instant results and not being patient with the process. As a result of the strain that this put on our team, we decided to remove tracking links. At the end of the day, we want all our content to rank and drive traffic, otherwise it will only hurt our own SEO and ultimately, our business.

Trust is another important factor. Our readers expect us to provide an honest analysis of a product. When they see tracking links, that tends to have a small impact on the genuine nature of a link, especially when it’s placed within an article rather than an obvious ad space.

We do make some exceptions and we do use affiliate links (with clear disclosure), but these are always at our own team’s discretion.

If you want to keep an eye on the performance of your product or service through WP Mayor, we can help you do that over time by keeping open communication channels.

No. Our opinions are not for sale.

Dollars exchanging hands does not mean that someone can tell us what to say or do.

We created our premium services to provide value to both our partners and our readers, so being true to ourselves is the only way we can maintain our business and this platform in the long-run.
