We’ve just released version 3.4 of the WP RSS Aggregator. We have a few goodies included in this version, so lets unpack the wrapper and see what you’ll enjoy by upgrading to the latest version.
Easy Facebook Page Feeds
Most people tend to keep track of their favorite blogs by means of subscribing to the blog’s RSS feed and then viewing the content via an RSS reader, such as Google Reader. These days almost every business and group also runs a Facebook Fan Page.
The question is: how do we subscribe to this content via RSS?
Facebook have purposefully made it difficult for people to do so. The reason is that they want you viewing fan page content on the Facebook site, in order to be able to bombard you with ads.
Worry not, with WP RSS Aggregator all you need to do is paste in the URL of your favorite Facebook page, and the plugin will do all the work behind the scenes. You can then enjoy your favorite feed items directly on your WordPress blog.
Better Handling of YouTube RSS
When using the open in lightbox option, your video feeds (YouTube, Vimeo and DailyMotion supported) will open a video directly in the lightbox. You will find a new option in the Settings page, where you can specify if you want to open the video directly, or the entire YouTube page containing the video. Note that the open in lightbox option will only work if you open the video directly.
As always, we continue to listen closely to all feedback you supply, as we strive to perfect the product, so if you have any requests for new functionality, or have experienced any issues, just open a support ticket.

I’m loving WP RSS Aggregator Jean, very easy to use and gets the job done. I’m using it at https://todayinwp.com. There was one other plugin I tried that was very similar, but there were SO many options I wasted almost an hour getting it setup before switching. Let’s just say I was happy to see one settings page and without tabs in WP RSS Aggregator 🙂
Thanks for the feedback Ben!
