I'm pleased to say that after some very hard work in the past few weeks, version 2.0 of WP RSS Aggregator now gone live.

The new version has a totally revamped codebase, I focused on the plugin's architecture, and it is now using custom post types for storing the feed sources and imported feeds. For those of you who have a lot of sources, you should see a good leap in performance when rendering the page with your imported feeds.

I’m pleased to say that after some very hard work in the past few weeks, version 2.0 of WP RSS Aggregator now gone live.

The new version has a totally revamped codebase, I focused on the plugin’s architecture, and it is now using custom post types for storing the feed sources and imported feeds. For those of you who have a lot of sources, you should see a good leap in performance when rendering the page with your imported feeds.

If you are upgrading from a previous version, version 2.0 should retain your sources, making it an easy upgrade.

There is now a new option to limit the number of feeds displayed, and I’ve removed the previous organisation of ‘Today’, ‘Yesterday’, etc.

I have lots of plans for new features in the coming months, so I will be following the model of Easy Digital Downloads, keeping the core plugin with the basic features free, and launching a number of premium extensions for those wanting the extra functionality.

Have you tried this plugin? I welcome any comments and suggestions for improvements.
