Multilingual Press is a plugin created in 2012 that leverages WordPress multisite to create a multilanguage website.

It is however still in development and the Pro version has not been released yet. If you are choosing between WPML and Multilingual Press, at the moment there is absolutely no doubt that you should go for WPML, since it is an established plugin that’s been around for many years and has the necessary maturity to be used on a live site.

Multilingual Press might grow into a very good plugin, so once the Pro version is released we will revisit this plugin and write a more in-depth comparison with WPML.
