This looks like a great tool! Two questions: is there a way to create recurring volunteer opportunities so they don’t need to be keyed in again and again? And is there any calendar function for showing all of these opportunities in a traditional monthly calendar format?

Sorry about the long delay @kilroycreative. Unfortunately, I wasn’t emailed of any new replies. As of right now there isn’t a way to create recurring volunteer opportunities or to see the opportunities in a calendar. These features are on our radar, but are still secondary to a few other features we’re working on now. Thanks for the suggestion.

Do you have any examples from websites using the tool? It would be helpful to see it in use to get a better idea of what it looks like. Thanks!

Sorry about the long delay Mary. Unfortunately, I wasn’t emailed of any new replies. We don’t have any examples readily available even though over 400 websites are using the volunteer management plugin. To maintain privacy WordPress doesn’t share with us exactly which websites are using the tool. The moment someone sends us an example we’ll be sure to let everyone know.

      Thanks.

Liking the look of the this plugin.

Would there be a way to store in venues that we use also on a regular basis so that we do not have to keep adding them?

Our charity has a big appeal each June with over 30 venues nationwide – so storing the contact details of each venue would be a great help.

Also the ability for people to chose a timeslot on the day they would like to volunteer at would be helpful too.

Sorry about the long delay Angela. Unfortunately, I wasn’t emailed of any new replies. There is a way to save one venue as the default, but not to save multiple venues. We also don’t allow people the ability to choose timeslots at this point. This allowed the plugin to remain simple and easy to use, but I understand the need to have that option. If you’re looking for a plugin that allows for timeslots, you may want to check out https://wordpress.org/plugins/pta-volunteer-sign-up-sheets/.

will this integrate with Buddypress member profiles?

I’m not sure Tiffani since we haven’t tested the plugin with BuddyPress. That said, each volunteer is set up as a user with the “Volunteer” role. As long as that setup will work in BuddyPress, then you should be good to go.

Let us know how it goes so we can inform anyone else who’s interested in the future.

Hi Jonathan – great plugin, exactly what I needed, but there is a slight glitch… when I add a small picture file with the add media button into the text, it actually shows up int the spot the featured image is supposed to show up, above the blog post info, and very very large. Then even if I delete the image, from the text, it is still there as the featured image and I can’t delete it… Any ideas?

Thanks for the kind words @Miffi and I’m sorry you’re running into trouble with the plugin. Would you mind posting in the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wired-impact-volunteer-management? It would also be great if you could provide a link so we can see exactly what you’re referring to. That would make it much easier for us to help.
