When running a blog or website in today’s world it’s important to remember the social aspect of it. Yes, users might visit your blog every now and again and check out what you’ve been up to, but they spend most of their time on social media, Facebook being one of the most commonly used.
That’s why it’s vital for you to combine the two, integrating social media into your blog. Today I’m going to focus specifically on Facebook integration; one of the most popular social media platforms.
But what can you do to integrate Facebook into your blog?
Well, there are a number of ways to combine the two. You can create a social login whereby visitors must login through their Facebook account in order to comment; add like or share buttons to your blog posts; publish blog posts straight to your Facebook page for added exposure; and even integrate Facebook comments into the blog post itself.
All these things can be done using WordPress plugins,resulting in increased traffic for your site and a boost to your social media presence.

Hello, I am a little late to the blog plugins party but I was wondering whether there’s a plugin to instantly translate comments to other languages the way twitter offers translation for tweets? I donβt want to use WPML to translate comments.
Thanks in advance.
Pretty nice post!! Thanks, Zahra for sharing the collections of WordPress social plugins. I have been continuously surfing around Google to find social plugins which would help me in website creation. Could you suggest me an apt one to integrate the facebook page to my blog website?

Hi Jack, thanks for sharing. I see that this plugin isn’t used by many people. What makes you say that it’s the best one out there?
It does not take much space on the website because of the box slider and it also use pure CSS animations so there is no conflicts between jQuery libraries. Check the demo on your mobile, this plugin is just awesome for my needs.
Regards
Thanks for explaining, Jack! Sounds like a good one.
My salutations to Mark Zahra! Perfect Selection, thank you.

Hello, you overview cannot be called not the freshest but still it is very informative. Thanks for that!
Would you mind updating it a little? For example with this:
Ultimate Facebook – already not available;
Add link to Facebook – removed from WordPress catalogue;
Fatpanda Facebook comments – hasnβt been updated for more than a year.
I think you can delete those from your list. And hereβs a new one: . Itβs new and deserves a place in your overview. Thereβs an online demo on the page, do try it!

Hi
I’m using this WordPress Facebook Feed Plugin to get my facebook page statuses, photos on to my website
wordpress.org/plugin/wp-facebook-feed
Looking for a plugin/app that will ‘grab’ (pull?) items from a FB status (not page) into the blog. Even if it emails the status (which I can grab via Postie plugin.
Is this possible?
Hey Mark
Regarding the Facebook comments, they are great for social shares.
One problem is that google does not crawl the comments.
Been trying to find a solution, and noticed there is a wordpress plugin that makes the comments crawable. Its called βCrawlable Facebook Commentsβ.
Only thing is, its not been updated for 5 years and Iβm not sure if it works anymore.
How could someone take your list seriously when the very first plugin has been dead for over 2 years?
Hi Elliot, we’re updating the post right now, thanks for bringing it to our attention! If you have any plugins that you prefer to use for integrating a WordPress site and Facebook, we’d like to hear about them too.
When importing images / comments feed, can the items get imported into your database in case a major change forces it not to work or if you wish to remove the plugin?
Hi, Mark. Just wanted to share another awesome new plugin called Smart Facebook Page Like Overlay ( ) which should be added to the list I think. Super easy to install and configure and has native Facebook look and feel which helps with likes collection on blogs and websites. Try it when you have time!
Also I think official FB plugin is kind of bloated with features and buggy..
I am using this and its great ..
Hi Mark, I’m specifically looking for a plug in that will import Facebook reviews rather than comments or likes, do you know if any of these support that functionality?
Hi, not sure about that to be honest. I haven’t come across such a use case myself before and it wasn’t something I based this list on. I’m sure there must be one that includes this functionality if you have a look through them though.
Did you ever find a plugin for displaying Facebook reviews?
Hi Kim, not yet, and there seems to be a valid reason as to why. Check out the replies on the links below from the Custom Facebook Feed plugin support forum to learn more.
